Welcome
to the World Wide Web home of the Northeast Hockey Officials
Association (NEHOA). As our name suggests, we are a local
ice-hockey officials association based in northeastern Minnesota.
All officials that are members of the NEHOA are
USA Hockey certified and registered with the Minnesota Hockey
Officials Association (MHOA).
As the sole youth hockey officials
association in Minnesota Hockey's District 11, we perform
a unique task. That is, we are responsible for providing
referees for youth games in the communities of Carlton,
Cloquet, Duluth, Hermantown, Moose Lake, Proctor, and Silver
Bay. In any given year we provide officials at a minimum
of 2,200 games!
We believe strongly in the advancement of
officials through the entire USA Hockey program and beyond.
Many of our officials also work in the Minnesota State High
School League. Several of our officials have made it to
the USHL and WCHA, too.
We support development, sponsor
our officials, and send them to training events such as
Minnesota Hockey Officials camp, district officiating seminars,
regional camps, national camps, and instructor's camp. We
are truly blessed to be able to provide such "top-notch"
officials with advanced training.
